STOKE Speedway would like to offer our sincere condolences to the family of Stoke City legend Gordon Banks after his sad passing.

Gordon is widely regarded as England's greatest ever goalkeeper and proudly played for the Potters over many years.

The highlight of his career, of course, was winning the 1966 World Cup at Wembley.

May Gordon rest in peace and our thoughts are also with our neighbours at Stoke City FC at this very sad time.
