POTTERS HEAD TO KENT

Sunday 21 July, 2019
STOKE head to Kent to face the Kings in the National League at Central Park on Monday night, 6.30pm.

The A.R. Richards Potters will be without Luke Priest who misses the meeting after sustaining a shoulder injury last week in the defeat at Mildenhall so will utilise the rider replacement rule to cover for his absence. Team manager Adam Isherwood has therefore moved Shelby Rutherford into the number 4 race jacket.

The Central Park track is a small track and the Potters will take confidence from their recent meeting at Plymouth so are looking to gain something from the meeting team boss Adam Isherwood saying “It will be a tough meeting but I believe we are capable of getting something from the meeting. Kent is a small track and we did well and could have possibly won on a similar track at Plymouth. Yes, it will be difficult not having Luke (Priest) but the other lads are capable of stepping up and covering his absence and we can bring something back home, because I feel we should have beaten them earlier in the season at home we threw things away.”

The Kings have their own injury issues as they will use rider replacement themselves for Alex Spooner and former Potter David Wallinger comes into replace Rob Ledwith who suffered a broken collarbone at Loomer Road in the Four team championship just over a week ago.
