POTTERS LOOK TO RAID COLISEUM

Wednesday 21 August, 2019
STOKE make the long trek South to face the Plymouth Gladiators in the National League at the Coliseum on Friday night, 7.15pm.

The Potters are looking to bag some points around the tight Coliseum circuit after only losing by 6-points in the Cup earlier in the season a meeting the Potters led until the final few races.

Potters team boss Adam Isherwood commented “We are going there looking to bring some points back to Loomer Road in order to push for a play-off place. We have four big home meetings coming up and if we can get a win or at least a point out of the meeting on Friday at Plymouth we stand an outside chance of qualifying for the play-offs. The riders all know what they have to do in order to get the extra meetings the play-offs, bring and they are all determined to do the business on the track and we all know that basically every meeting is now a cup final for us.”

The A.R. Richards Potters will be without Connor Coles who is on Championship duty with Edinburgh and will operate rider replacement to cover for his absence, meaning all of the Potters riders are able to take one of his rides. Isherwood has also changed the riding order slightly for the meeting with Lawlor moving to number 5 while Coles will move to number 3 for the night.

The Gladiators will be without former Potter Adam Extance who suffered injuries at Kent, Extance is a blow for the home side since he has been in good form of late especially around the Coliseum.
