STOKE duo Joe Alcock and Joe Lawlor were in action at the Isle of Wight on Thursday as they took part in the Wightlink Showdown.

The pair were in different sides and in a competitive meeting the Victoria of Wight quartet won the meeting on 26-points with Alcock scoring 3+1 with St. Clare second on 24-points and Lawlor’s team finishing third on 22-points with the Potter top scoring with 10-points.

Alcock commented “I had a difficult start to the meeting, but changed a couple of things on the bike and it paid dividends with the bike hooking up a lot better and I scored a few points to help us win the meeting.”
