PERRY WITHDRAWS FROM RIDERS CHAMPIONSHIP

STOKE skipper Tom Perry has withdrawn from the National League Riders’ Championship at Scunthorpe’s Eddie Wright raceway on Sunday afternoon, 6pm.

The meeting was postponed last month and has been rearranged for this weekend and Perry has informed National League co-ordinator Jason Pipe that he is unavailable for the meeting due to family reasons and his place will be taken by former Stoke rider Danny Phillips who rides for the Belle Vue Colts.

The Potters do still have two representatives in the meeting in Joe Lawlor and Connor Coles who will come up against the top riders from each club with the revised line-up also featuring the Isle of Wight’s Danno Verge who replaces Leon Flint who is on Championship duty.
