DISAPPOINTING AFTERNOON FOR POTTERS DUO

STOKE Potters duo Connor Coles and Joe Lawlor had a disappointing afternoon in the National League Riders’ Championship on Sunday afternoon at Scunthorpe’s Eddie Wright Raceway in a meeting won Anders Rowe despite the meeting being abandoned after 14-heats due to heavy rain and a waterlogged track with the result standing.

Coles scored 1-point in the meeting while Lawlor failed to score and withdrew from the meeting after his opening two rides.

Kent’s Rowe took the title ahead Kings team mate Drew Kemp with former Potters skipper now with Cradley taking third place, after the result had been determined after every rider had completed three rides.

Abandoned after Heat 14 (rain).
Result stands with scores taken after the completion of Heat 12.

The final ever two Stoke riders to take to the track will race in Cradley’s prestigious F.A.S.T. Golden Hammer which takes place at Wolverhampton’s Monmore Green circuit on Monday 28th October with Joe Lawlor and Potters skipper Tom Perry in the line-up, both riders having ridden for the Heathens in recent years.
